Finally no matter if you live in a private apartment or in a student residence, you need to pay a monthly licence fee for public broadcasting (Rundfunkbeitrag) covering TV, radio & online media. This fee amounts to currently 18.36 euro per month.

Please, be aware you need to inform them when you move to a new apartment or leave Germany after your graduation.

The institution contacts you by postal mail. The letters are in German. Please, do not hesitate to visit the Welcome Center if you need help!
