Aditya Kumar wins Best Poster Prize at Material Today conference 2025

Aditya Kumar, a PhD student from the Kläui-Lab at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, has been awarded the Best Poster Prize at the Material Today conference 2025, which took place from June 22-26, 2025, in Sitges, Spain. His winning poster was titled "Engineering exchange bias in vdW heterostructures".

Aditya's research, presented at the conference, centers on 2D materials. Specifically, his work addresses the impact of the nature of interfaces on exchange bias in van der Waals heterostructures. This study, explores the underlying complexities at the interfaces in vdW heterostructure and proposes how to harness them to manipulate exchange coupling. 

The underlying work has been recently published in Advanced Materials and ACS Nano.
