Presentation by Gian Luca Stasi and Sarah Poersch on sustainable and social projects in architecture with experiential learning approaches.

Gian Luca Stasi (architect: Ctrl+Z) and Sarah Poersch (zepf) will present their paper entitled ‘El postgrado ’Sustainable Sustainable Architecture‘: un lugar de integración entre enseñanza y practica de la arquitectura, para el desarrollo de proyectos sociales’ at the BIAUS (Bienal de Investigación en Arquitectura de la Universidad de Sevilla) congress on 16 September 2024 at the Universidad de Sevilla. It reports on a workshop on sustainable and social architecture, in which experiential learning approaches were used for planning and implementation. In 2022, Critical Concrete organised a summer school for sustainable construction in which prospective and graduated architects worked together to renovate a social building using low-tech solutions. Further scientific monitoring of the upcoming summer schools will investigate the increase in professional competences in architecture and interdisciplinary competences such as self-efficacy expectations.
