Weekly Corona update from the crisis team, week 28

Dear members and affiliates of the university,

In the following we inform you about the current situation at our university in the Corona pandemic.

+ Infection figures at TUK
No new index case has been reported at TUK since last week. You can also view trends in the numbers on our website.

If you receive a positive test or are contacted as a suspected case, we urge you to sign in on the reporting portal at https://onlinemeldung.uni-kl.de/login. This is the only way we can keep track of the incidence of infection and initiate appropriate measures to protect against infection.

+ Examinations at the TUK
The university management has decided that the room occupancy for exams will be calculated with 5m² per person from now on. The requirements of the 24th CoBeLVO, in particular the 1.5m distance rule and the wearing of an MNS in the building up to the seat, remain unaffected. The implementation of the decision will already start in week 29 and is expected to be completed by 01.08.2021. The departments have been informed accordingly and are up to date.

+ Service operation in the office
As of 19.07.2021, the workplace ordinance will apply to the use of office space in terms of sqm/person. The organization of office occupancy is to be implemented from week 29 (transition period). The requirements of the SARS-CoV2 occupational health and safety regulation, in particular the 1.5m distance regulation as well as the wearing of an MNS in the building up to the seat, remain unaffected.

+ Adaptation of the legal regulations
The guideline and the hygiene and safety concept of the TUK will be adapted according to the above-mentioned aspects with the participation of the staff council.

+ Excursions
Excursions are generally possible if the target area before departure is not a risk area, high incidence area or virus variant area and if no alternative service provision is offered or if it is a compulsory study or examination performance. In the application for excursion, the dean's office must confirm that substitution is not possible. Please submit your application to the responsible person in HA 3.1.
