Weekly Corona Update from the Crisis Team , Week 36

Dear members and affiliates of the University,

The following is an update on the Corona pandemic situation at our university.

+ Infection figures at TUK
No new index case has been reported at TUK since last week. You can also view trends in the numbers on our website.

If you receive a positive test or are contacted as a suspected case, we urge you to sign in on the reporting portal at https://onlinemeldung.uni-kl.de/login. This is the only way we can maintain an overview of the infection situation and initiate appropriate measures to protect against infection.

+ New Corona control regulation in Rhineland-Palatinate from 12.09.2021.
As of Sunday, the 26th Corona Control Ordinance (26. CoBeLVO) of Rhineland-Palatinate will come into force. Then, three leading indicators will apply, according to which the new warning system will be oriented. These indicators are the incidence of infection, the incidence of hospitalization and the occupancy of intensive care units with Covid 19 patients. There are thresholds for each of the three leading indicators. We will update you next week on any adjustments to our Corona regulations to reflect the new regulation and, if necessary, new measures.

+ Vaccinations in general.
In responsibly planning for "More Presence" during the winter semester as we would like to see for our university, having as high a percentage of people vaccinated as possible is an important factor. Following the successful campus immunization efforts for students and employees, the University leadership continues to welcome and support general regional immunization opportunities.

+ Get vaccinated even easier with the vaccination bus (no appointment needed).
A total of six vaccination buses will travel through Rhineland-Palatinate through the end of September. The vaccination buses will be parked in various parking lots of the participating cooperation partners, e.g. a number of supermarkets. Vaccinations will be carried out every working day; it is not necessary to make an appointment.  The exact locations and stand times of the vaccination buses can be found here:

+ Final spurt for survey on vaccination status among TUK students and employees.
To get an overview of the vaccination status at TUK, we have prepared a short survey and strongly encourage you to participate. The survey is voluntary and the data will be processed anonymously. + English Information
