Weekly Corona update from the crisis team , week 50

Dear Members and Affiliates of the University,

The following is an update on the current situation at our university regarding the Corona pandemic.

+++ CURRENT REGULATIONS: WHAT APPLIES WHERE?
The 29th CoBeLVO is still in effect. A new state regulation has been announced for early January 2022. A quick overview of the regulations at TUK is provided by the graphics, which compactly depict central scenarios in university operations. These can be found at the bottom of the Corona info page: https://www.uni-kl.de/coronavirus

Regarding the overall situation: At TUK, the attendance semester still applies. The crisis team regularly evaluates possible changes depending on further developments. This is done in exchange with the other universities in Rhineland-Palatinate and the ministry.

For special events, the conventional procedure applies via notification to the event management. In this way, you will be reliably supported with regard to the many details of the respective regulatory situation.

+++ INFECTION FIGURES AT TUK
In the current week, three new index cases were reported at TUK. You can also view the development of the numbers on our TUK website at https://www.uni-kl.de/coronavirus. Furthermore, should you receive a positive test or be contacted as a suspected case, we urge you to register in the reporting portal at https://onlinemeldung.uni-kl.de/login. This is the only way we can keep track of the incidence of infection and initiate appropriate measures to protect against infection.

+++ LEARNING TENT OFFERS LEARNING PLACES AGAIN
With the beginning of the coming year, student learning spaces will again be available in the tent. The distance requirement and the mask obligation (also at the place) apply with the use.

+++ TEST CENTER MOVES TO THE LEARNING TENT
From 21.12.2021, the DRK team will conduct rapid tests as usual in a separate area in the learning tent - parallel to the learning operation. In order to create a seamless transition, the DRK test center in 46/224 will continue to be available up to and including 12/20/2021.

The current opening hours can be found on the following website: https://www.drk-kl.de/. Registration for a test appointment at https://drk-kl-uni.probatix.de/de/pick-slot or Tel. 0631 - 800930.

+++ VACCINATION OFFER BY THE COMPANY DOCTOR
Our company physician will offer vaccination appointments on a total of five days in January - subject to sufficient vaccine availability. The first two vaccination days are scheduled for Jan. 17 and 18, 2022. Detailed information on all dates and registration will be provided in time for early January. Until then, we strongly recommend taking advantage of all other available services: Primary care physicians and some specialists, vaccination centers and vaccination bus.

+++ OTHER VACCINATION OFFERS
The VACCINATION CENTERS, including the one in Kaiserslautern, have been open again since Nov. 24, 2021. Appointments can be made via the state's hotline 0800 / 57 58 100 (Mon-Fri 8am-6pm and Sat-Sun 9am-4pm) or via the website impftermin.rlp.de. Since December 1, registrations for booster vaccinations can be made at the vaccination center four months after the complete vaccination series.
Until the end of the year, several IMPFBUSES continue to travel through Rhineland-Palatinate. Vaccinations will take place on weekdays, occasionally also on Sundays.

Vaccination bus stops in the vicinity are TODAY - Friday, Dec. 17:
Kurpfalzhalle in Nanzdietschweiler (Kusel district), Gymnasium Weierhof in Bolanden (Donnersberg district) and Messe Halle 6 D in Pirmasens.

All locations and stand times can be found here: https://corona.rlp.de/de/impfen/informationen-zur-corona-impfung-in-rheinland-pfalz/

+++ 3G DETECTION AND COVIN STATIONS
First you need an Intake-QR-Code (https://kontaktverfolgung.uni-kl.de/), a proof of 3G status (rapid or PCR test, vaccination certificate, convalescent certificate) and an identification document (e.g. ID card). When creating the basic Intake QR code, complete address and contact information must be entered.

IMPORTANT: If you delete the cookies in your browser, then your generated QR code with your 3G status will also be deleted. Therefore, to be on the safe side, save the QR code in a separate file (PDF or image file) after creation.

Two CovIn stations are available for enriching the Intake QR code with the 3G status: at the Unisport Service Center in Paul-Ehrlich-Straße, Building 28 (sports hall) and at the Studierenden Service Center (SSC) in Gottlieb-Daimler-Straße, Building 47.

Opening hours of the CovIn stations:
Please note the restricted opening hours or closing times of the individual CovIn stations in the period from 20.12.2021 to 02.01.2022 inclusive.

+++ ORGANIZATION HOME-OFFICE
The employer must check whether, in the case of office work or comparable activities, these activities can be carried out by the employee in the home and there are no compelling operational reasons to the contrary, § 28b Abs.4 IfSG. The university is in normal operation. The service facilities and the administration are open. The respective department heads must ensure that operations run smoothly. Colleagues who are engaged in office work or comparable activities may not be able to work at home if their presence on campus is required.

+++ TEST CENTRE MOVES TO LEARN TENT
From 12/21/2021 onwards, the DRK team will conduct rapid antigen tests in a separate area in the learn tent on the Unisport site. To ensure a seamless transition, the DRK test centre in 46/224 will continue to be available until 12/20/2021.

+++ VACCINATION OF PERSON VACCINATED WITH A VACCINE NOT APPROVED IN THE EU
The Permanent Vaccination Commission of the Federal Government (STIKO) recommends adult persons who have been vaccinated with a vaccine that has not been approved in the EU to date to receive a new vaccination series with an EU-approved vaccine. The STIKO points out that this might lead to stronger vaccination reactions. Only with such an additional vaccination, the EU "vaccinated" status can be received. This note applies in particular to international students and visiting scientists at TUK.
