About the authors

Prof. Dr. Bettina Wuttig is an educational scientist and Professor of Social Work at the SRH University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg and head of the Master's degree course "Social Work - Psychosocial Counselling and Health Promotion". Her research focuses on trauma and discrimination, social vulnerability, gender and embodiment, new (feminist) materialism, performative social sciences (new dance) and the tension between anti-Muslim racism and religiously motivated radicalization. She is a co-founder of Soma Studies, a field of thought and research that deals with the physical materiality of social processes. Her previous activities include project coordination for the NGO Ufug.de (political consulting and mediation), peace work and education promotion in Muslim post-conflict states (focus on Somaliland and Lebanon).
