Dr. Claudia Brunner is Assistant Professor at the Center for Peace Research and Peace Education at the University of Klagenfurt. She was previously a DFG fellow and research associate at the Center for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies at Humboldt University in Berlin. She studied political science, contemporary history and gender studies in Vienna and Paris. At the interface of political theory, critical peace studies and the sociology of knowledge, she is concerned with the connections between knowledge and various forms of violence.
