Online conference "The good life for all - perspectives for municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate" on October 9, 2024
A good life for all. The United Nations has set 17 goals (SDGs) for this in the 2030 Agenda. Nothing less is at stake than the transformation of our world, because the limits of our planet have been reached or even exceeded. The effects of climate change and access to increasingly scarce resources are also key areas of conflict worldwide. So what can a good life for all look like?
The leading municipal associations, the Rhineland-Palatinate Development Policy Network / ELAN e.V., the Rhineland-Palatinate Peace Academy (RPTU), the Rhineland-Palatinate Energy Agency, the Rhineland-Palatinate Association of Municipalities and Cities, the Rhineland-Palatinate Association of Counties, the Rhineland-Palatinate Association of Cities and the Rhineland-Palatinate State Center for Environmental Education want to explore the following questions this year as part of our joint online conference series "Climate protection is peacekeeping" on October 9, 2024:
▶ How do we want to live in the future?
▶ How can a good life succeed for all parts of society and this planet?
▶ And what does this mean for our municipal climate protection and sustainability activities?
We want to highlight and discuss positive examples, opportunities and possibilities as well as places where transformation can succeed.
After contributions from science, politics and initiatives from a national, international and municipal perspective, there will be space for exchange and networking.
