Klara Marie Faßbinder Guest Professorship for Women's and Gender Studies

The Klara Marie Faßbinder Guest Professorship for Women's and Gender Studies is funded by the Ministry of Science and Health of Rhineland-Palatinate and rotates among the universities in Rhineland-Palatinate on a semester basis.

Its aim is to expand teaching in the field of women's and gender studies, to intensify the dialogue between science and students, and thus to strengthen the reputation of this research area.

The guest professorship was named after Klara Marie Faßbinder, a well-known activist of the German women's and peace movement, who was born in Trier in 1890.
