On July 18 and 19, 2019, the Peace Academy hosted the international expert workshop "Natural Resource Sector Reform and Human Security".
On July 18 and 19, 2019, the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate hosted the international expert workshop "Natural Resource Sector Reform and Human Security" at the Landau campus of the University of Koblenz-Landau. Experts on the governance of mining and forest sectors addressed the question of how changes in natural resource governance affect those who are most affected by resource policy and resource extraction. The workshop took place as part of the two research projects "Natural Resource Governance and Human Security in Post-Conflict Societies" and "Transforming Conflict-Economies: Natural Resource Sector Reform and Human Security", which are funded by the German Foundation for Peace Research and the Gerda Henkel Foundation respectively.
