For the past three years, Hambach Castle has been the venue for conflicts over democracy. Since 2018, Prof. Dr. Max Otte has been organizing the 'new Hambach Festival' there, at which a right-wing populist understanding of democracy is spread. What conflicts does this create? What does this mean for Hambach Castle as a central place of remembrance and learning for democracy in Germany? We look forward to getting to the bottom of these questions with committed individuals and initiatives.
