Peace Academy supports the petition "Peace in the curriculum!"
As an alliance partner, the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate supports the following appeal by "Pro Peace" for more peace education in schools and in the training of teachers. Current information on the petition can also be found on our website.
The current wars affect young people in a special way: They are expected to do military service. The huge debts for armaments are at the expense of investments in their future, for example in education and climate protection. And international conflicts such as those in Ukraine or the Middle East have long been reflected in everyday school life.
Young people have a right to have a say. In order to be able to exercise this right in a well-informed way and actively help shape a peaceful future, they need the opportunity to take a differentiated approach to the issues of war and peace.
❗Therefore we demand: PEACE IN THE CURRICULUM❗
