Peace Perspective Middle East - October 7 and its consequences: End of the line or turning point?
The brutal attack by Hamas on southern Israel on October 7, 2023 and the ensuing Gaza war moved many people - including in Germany and Rhineland-Palatinate. The Peace Academy therefore wanted to react as quickly as possible. To this end, an event was held on November 21, 2023 under the title "Peace Perspective Middle East - October 7 and its Consequences: End of the line or turning point?". Renowned experts were invited as guests: Dr. Steffen Hagemann (RPTU, Kaiserslautern Campus), Prof. Dr. Francesca Vidal (RPTU, Landau Campus) and Dorthe Siegmund (Heinrich Böll Foundation, Ramallah Office) discussed the consequences and perspectives of the current situation in the Middle East with Dr. Gregor Walter-Drop, Managing Director of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate.
