New managing director at Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate
Dr. Gregor Walter-Drop has taken over the management of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate at August 15th. Born in Kaiserslautern, raised in the Vorderpfalz and after academic stations in Tübingen, New York and Bremen, Dr. Walter-Drop has headed the Knowledge Exchange Lab (KEL) of the Cluster of Excellence "Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS)" at the Free University of Berlin in recent years and at the same time acted as director of the "Koordinationsstelle Wissensaustausch Außenpolitik (KWAP)" (Coordination Office for Knowledge Exchange in Foreign Policy), which works closely with the German Foreign Office. Against this background, he would like to complement the work of the Peace Academy with a perspective on German foreign policy in the field of crisis prevention and peacebuilding.
