Exciting discussions at the 1st International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding

The Peace Academy was present with two contributions at the 1st International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding from October 23 to 25, 2019 at the University of California in Irvine.

Peace Academy staff member Christina Ankenbrand presented an article entitled "Environmental Peacebuilding and Artisanal Mining: Rethinking Formalization". Peace Academy fellow Jan Grabek presented an article entitled "Forest Sector Peacebuilding Interventions: Neglected Consequences of Statebuilding Reform in Liberia's Timber Economy". Peace Academy staff member Zabrina Welter was part of the organizing team as a volunteer.
