The non-profit association "Informationsstelle Wissenschaft und Frieden" publishes the quarterly journal "Wissenschaft und Frieden" (W&F) in cooperation with eleven other peace research/political organizations. It has been published for almost 45 years and is today the leading interdisciplinary academic journal at the interface of peace research, peace policy and the peace movement in the German-speaking world. W&F publishes on issues of peace and security policy, military strategy and armaments technology, examines the causes and conditions of violence, and discusses ways and means of civil conflict resolution, safeguarding human rights and securing the future. It takes a stand on the responsibility of science for disarmament, peacebuilding and sustainable development - from a scientific, political science, historical, sociological, psychological, legal, pedagogical and ethical perspective. The magazine is published quarterly with approx. 60 pages in print and digitally; a topic-related dossier is also included several times a year. W&F is based on the voluntary commitment of the currently 13-member editorial team and the executive board in cooperation with the full-time editorial office.
