Workshop on "Critical Ethnography" at the Philipps University of Marburg
On November 3 and 4, the working group "Ethnographic Methods in Political Science" of the German Political Science Association (DVPW) organized a workshop on the critical potential of political ethnography in cooperation with the Center for Conflict Research at the University of Marburg.
In the workshop, the participants discussed what forms ethnographic criticism can take, what dilemmas exist and how we can and want to position ourselves personally as researchers in this tense relationship. As the Peace Academy's research project "Tug of War - Customary and State Actors in Land Reform and their Impact on Human Security in Post-Conflict Societies" is working methodologically with the concept, Christopher Rohles took part in the workshop and is bringing new insights and ideas back to Landau.
