Dr. Dieter Schiffmann is a contemporary historian and political scientist. From 1987-2005 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament (SPD) and from 2005-2013 Director of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Center for Political Education. In 2012/2013, he co-founded the supporting association of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate and has been Deputy Chairman of the supporting association and Association of Friends ever since.
