2nd CIDR Symposium
After the successful implementation of the first symposium of the CIDR Network 2024, the event format will now be repeated on November 14, 2025. Under the title "Complex situations, new answers - interdisciplinary perspectives on the disaster control of the future", this time we will face new challenges in disaster control in a dialog between science and practice. We see these not only in the quantitative increase, but above all in increasing complexity due to the temporal and regional overlapping of events (polycrises), but also in unforeseen or unprecedented disasters. This raises the question of what the associated risks look like, how to prepare for them and how risk management and situational awareness and assessment can respond to these situations.
We are delighted that we have been able to winDavid von der Lieth, Head of the Düsseldorf Fire Department, for the keynote speech at. This will be followed by further input on the topic, including from Daniel Gronwald (THW local association Sinzig) and Mark Bailey (KVK Trier). However, the focus of the event will be the exchange of experiences, which should provide impetus for further research in this field.
