New article by apl. Prof. Anja Danner-Schröder on "Reconstruction after crises" in the Journal of Management Studies

In the study "Embodied connection work: The role of the lived body in routine recreation in extreme contexts", apl. Prof. Dr. Anja Danner-Schröder and her co-authors Ass. Prof. Dr. Kathrin Sele and Dr. Christian Mahringer investigated the role of the 'lived body' in establishing new routines in and after extreme contexts. The authors studied Restaurant Nolla, a zero-waste gourmet restaurant in Helsinki, during the COVID-19 pandemic and found that embodied connection work plays an essential role in establishing new ways of working. In particular, it shows how this active process of establishing connections between actors and actions consists of different practices ('embodied imagining', 'embodied protecting') that enable the reintegration of stakeholders and the recomposition of actions. The study was published in the FT-50 Journal of Management Studies.
