"Tag der offenen Tür" at JGU Mainz

On january 30, 2018, the „Tag der offenen Tür“ took place at the Johannes Gutenberg University (JGU) in Mainz. Multiple events across the campus offered information about available courses of study at the JGU and answered questions about studying in general.

SPIN+X participated with a talk about spintronics and the quantum world of solid state bodies. In addition to the talk, several demonstrators were shown: a hard disc drive with a glass top through which you can observe the read head, a magnet card writer and reader and steel plates with which strain induced spin phenomena can be shown. SPIN+X scientist hence offered a lively insight into their work in the field of spintronics.
