Parent-child-room in building 57
Parents at the university enjoy the parent-child rooms, which simplify bringing children to work or study. Parents are provided with a PC workstation, children of all ages can play and rest in and outdoors. The rooms also offer a change-table and gives the room to breastfeed. A parent-child parking is provided for users in front of building 57.
Note: Please book each room 24 hours in advance. The buildings are open from 8-20 on weekdays. Weekend reservation and/or double occupancy (only EKZ in building 57) is possible upon request. If needed, childcare can be requested from the Familyservice Office at an early stage (no guarantee of placement).
Please: We would like to ask you to tidy up the room after each use please; many families are present over the week and it is elementary that games are sorted and put back, toys and other equipment is back in its place.

Further parent child room in building 76
We are pleased to be able to offer you another parent-child room (EKZ) in the LASE building (Geb.76/231). This was lovingly designed by the interior designer Eva Stidtgen of EstiDesign and the Family Service Office with the concept "Forest" in reference to the proximity of the RPTU to the Palatinate Forest. We would like to thank the very generous donation of SFB Spin+ X, which made the creation of the room possible. The EKZ offers you and your family an appealing environment to pursue your work with child.If needed, childcare can be requested from the Familyservice Office at an early stage (no guarantee of placement).

If you have an RPTU transponder, you can access the building independently from the main axis of the campus (building 46/48, lower access). The room is on the first floor, up stairs and then at the front door, hallway on the right. The room is in 231.
Attention: There are neighbouring offices next to the LASE EKZ - please be considerate and avoid increased room noise; in particular, the care of child(ren) should not be perceived by several people at the same time!

Parent-child room in Landau
The parent-child room is now available at the Landau location in Thomas-Nast-Straße. In particular, the room will be made available to parents and their children who are experiencing childcare bottlenecks in regular childcare (such as daycare closures) or who are not yet attending regular external childcare. The room offers a workplace as well as various play and rest areas for children.
