Support for single parents and pregnant students

Support from the Scholarship Foundation

The Scholarship Foundation supports single-parent students with children as well as single-parent pregnant students if the continuation of their studies is endangered by financial bottlenecks.
The Scholarship Foundation is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Further Education and Culture.

Subject to the allocation of funds, pregnant and single-parent students are supported by the Scholarship Foundation every year.
Individual measures are to be supported which take into account the special needs of these students with regard to their studies and which are suitable for working towards the reduction of existing problems.

Support can be applied for if the continuation of studies is endangered by financial bottlenecks. In this context there is the possibility of

  •     the partial assumption of costs for day care providers,
  •     the partial assumption of costs for kindergartens,
  •     assistance in the case of necessary study-related absences (excursions, internships),
  •     assistance in other emergency situations.

Applicants must not be on leave of absence during the semester in which they receive funding.

This year there is also a financial support possibility for single parents and pregnant students.
