"We need more qualified women teaching and learning at our Rhineland-Palatinate universities so that we can get closer to the goal of equal opportunities. Women should be able to contribute their skills and expertise, especially in areas and positions where they are currently still underrepresented, so that our science is competitive and innovative." (Clemens Hoch, Minister of Science and Health of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate on the funding program from state equality funds).
We are pleased that RPTU will be able to support various measures this year from these funds from the RLP state equality program. These are earmarked funds for equality, which are to be used, among other things, to support academics at various career stages and qualification phases. The funds are allocated on behalf of the Central Equal Opportunities Officer at RPTU.
