The Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate at the RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau is looking for a student assistant (m/f/d), with or without a degree (BA), to work on the Peace Academy's main areas of work at the Landau campus.
The main areas of work are environmental and resource conflicts, crisis prevention and civil conflict management, civil society participation and involvement as well as peace education. In addition to research on these topics, the aim of the Peace Academy RLP is to support peace research activities in the state and at the University of Koblenz-Landau. Your main tasks:
Support in the preparation of
- Preparation of research projects and publications (research work, proofreading, bibliography and formatting tasks)
- Planning, preparation and implementation of public events
- Management of social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, blog, podcast)
Your profile:
- You are studying in a social science degree program, preferably with a focus on political science, sociology, geography or ethnology;
- You have a recognizable interest in peace and conflict research topics;
- You have a very good command of written and spoken German and English;
- You are used to working in a team and independently;
- You are highly precise, systematic and reliable;
- You are familiar with common software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ideally, you are familiar with the use and impact of social media;
- Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at a German university. Unfortunately, students who already hold a Master's degree cannot be considered
Date of appointment: as soon as possible
Duration of contract: initially three months, an extension will be sought
Working hours: up to 10 hours per week
