The Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate focuses its activities on three main areas of work: "Environmental and resource conflicts", "peace education and conflicts about democracy" and "Conflict transformation and peace perspectives". The focal points are not unrelated to each other, but are intentionally interlinked so that projects are possible that touch on more than one of these areas - or even all three. At the same time, this reflects the culture of close cooperation among the staff at the Peace Academy. The Peace Academy does not claim to fully cover all three areas; however, it strives to ensure that its activities - whether in research, transfer, education or "networking" - fit in with this content profile.
In all three of the Peace Academy's main areas of work, special references to the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate are not only desired, but are specifically sought.
