Markus Pflüger studied geography (degree, minor in sociology) in Saarbrücken, Québec and Metz. From 2000 to 2022, he worked as a full-time consultant for peace work at Arbeitsgemeinschaft Frieden e.V. Trier and has been working for the Mobile Counseling Service against Right-Wing Extremism Rhineland-Palatinate since 2011. He is currently involved on a voluntary basis in the Antiatomnetz Trier, on the advisory board of the Informationsstelle Militarisierung and the Friedensakademie Rheinland-Pfalz as well as in the Arbeitskreis Friedensfähig of the AG Frieden and the Deutsche Friedensgesellschaft Vereinigte KriegsdienstgegnerInnen Trier. He is and advises conscientious objectors and is a trainer for non-violent action and civil courage.
