Vision RPTU 2035
The merger of the Kaiserslautern and Landau campuses to form RPTU is being used as an opportunity to exchange ideas on working together on joint visions for the future and to set out on this journey. To this end, impulses are initiated and events organised. These can help to develop a vision for RPTU 2035 in the future
Events and impulses
RPTU members are given the opportunity to learn from experts at other universities and generate ideas for the development of the vision. The aim is to stimulate dialogue across disciplines, status groups and locations.
Key topics include modern organisational models, internationalisation, attracting students, vision processes at other universities and digitalisation.
On 5 February 2025, Prof. Sascha Spoun, President of Leuphana University in Lüneburg, gave a vivid and lively presentation on the development of the university and its path on the topic of ‘Successful change processes in university development’. The focus was on modernisation and structural development in research and teaching as well as the topics of life on campus and sustainability.
On 24 July 2024, Prof Beatrix Busse spoke to members of RPTU about the challenges and requirements for studying and teaching at a future university under the title ‘Studying & Teaching 2035 - Higher Education (from) the Future’. The lecture was supplemented by a workshop in which Ms Busse presented her Arena concept.
On 29 May 2024, Prof Tanja Brühl discussed the topic of ‘Strategy as an opportunity’ with members of RPTU, which success factors were decisive for the start and implementation of the strategy process at TU Darmstadt and where the university stands today with its process.
