"I feel particularly connected to the RPTU through the committed students of the university and the spacious and lively campus. The constructive and supportive cooperation within the student body had a special influence on me during my studies."
Dr. Khader Awwad

"I am laboratory manager in the field of bioanalytics at AbbVie in Ludwigshafen. My passion for analytics was already awakened during my studies in biology at the RPTU, which still forms my technological connection with the RPTU today.
I also associate passionate lecturers with the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau who are looking for personal contact with the students. The RPTU therefore combines a near-natural campus with very solid basic research.
I liked the close exchange with the lecturers the most, but also the short distances to the administration up to the president helped me with my studies, so that us as students were offered quite unbureaucratic help with problems."
Anca Iacob
Alumna of the Department of Business Studies and Economics
Business Engineering

"In my opinion, the RPTU primarily stands for internationality and self-development. Studying at the RPTU means for me the freedom to decide personally which topics I would like to deal with.
What I appreciated most was not only the design of the lectures themselves, but also that I could enjoy a great and practical education. I also found it very important that I had the opportunity to exchange ideas with my lecturers at eye level and to get actively involved alongside my studies.
I have been influenced by the people you meet here, who are just as interested and enjoy being here. Whoever opens the course schedule of Unisport at the RPTU will be surprised how comprehensive and varied the program is."

Department of Computer Science
Computer Science with Business Studies and Economics as a minor (Diplom) [Graduate]

What I associate with the RPTU: "The fortune of having met many interesting people and exciting topics. The university, which was still under construction at the time, may not appear to be a beauty at first glance, but the many advantages, such as the short distances and the good cooperation between the various departments, were quickly recognised."
What influenced me the most during my studies: "Even though many theoretical basics, some mathematical models and similar abstract study contents could never really be used in practice, the corresponding lectures helped me to reduce my fear of contact with complex technologies. In addition to the methodical know-how and technical knowledge, personal qualities such as discipline, determination and the ability of self-motivation were promoted."
What I liked best: "The teamwork in solving exercise sheets in the library, fun in university sports, Prof. Dr. Röder's Christmas lecture on materials science and mechanical technology."
