The Peace Academy was present with a session on "New National Power Structures and Shifted Governance Agendas Disrupting Resource Access", chaired by Julia Renner und Zabrina Welter.

In this session, Zabrina Welter and Christina Ankenbrand presented a paper on "Formalization as a Tool for Environmental Peacebuilding? Insights from Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining in Liberia" and Janpeter Schilling presented a paper on "Glocal’ Governance of Resource Extraction and Human Security in Kenya, Bolivia and Peru" which he co-authored with Rebecca Froese.
