Student or research assistant position at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate
The Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate at the RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau is looking for a student or research assistant (m/f/d), with or without a degree, to work on the Peace Academy's research focus "Conflict Transformation and Peace Perspectives" at the Landau campus.
Your main tasks:
Support in the preparation and evaluation of research projects (e.g. transcription of interviews) and publications (research work, proofreading, bibliography and formatting tasks) on topics of conflict transformation, with a regional focus on West and East Africa and on topics of knowledge production and cooperation with a focus on power imbalance and critical perspectives.
Your profile:
- You are studying in a social science degree program, preferably with a focus on political science, sociology, geography or anthropology;
- You have a recognizable interest in topics of critical peace and conflict research;
- You have a very good command of written and spoken German as well as English;
- You are used to working in a team-oriented and independent manner;
- You are highly precise, systematic and reliable;
- You are familiar with common software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Ideally, you have experience in contributing to publications;
- Student assistant: Applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at a German university.

Contract duration: 15.07.2026-31.12.2026
Working hours: 5 hours per week
