At RPTU, you can experience science and research up close, pursue your interests alongside school and develop your talents. For example, in the form of school or campus visits, student labs, workshops, taster days, internships or competitions: there are a wide range of offers in which you can participate individually or with your class.
If you are already thinking about studying, we will be happy to support you with our information and advice services, such as the study information day or the RPTUzero orientation program, to help you find the right degree program for you.
Would you like to introduce your pupils to the subject matter of the curriculum in a scientific environment? Give them an insight into current research or support them in their career and study orientation?
You can do this in workshops or during visits to our university. We also offer didactic materials for use in the classroom as well as further training opportunities.
The study information days are all about studying at RPTU. In addition to the open student advisory service, we inform you in various program formats about the courses on offer and the general conditions at our university.
In the RPTUzero orientation program, you can spend a semester getting to know the degree programs at RPTU, discover the opportunities and requirements of a degree program and prepare yourself for a degree program before you make your personal choice.

The Study and Career lecture series is a joint event organized by RPTU and the Kaiserslautern-Pirmasens employment agency. We will inform you in lectures about the requirements, content and career prospects of university degree programs and you will have the opportunity to ask your personal questions. Prospective students in grades 12 and 13 can take part.

The Kaiserslautern Open Online Courses (KLOOC) address cross-cutting topics from teaching and research at RPTU and highlight aspects of a subject area from the perspective of the participating disciplines and cooperating institutions. The video-based, interactive online courses are offered in self-study mode and/or as tutor-supervised events.

Early entry to university is the right thing for you if you want to get your bearings while still at school (upper school) and gain an initial insight into the relevant subject area. As part of the early study program, you can take coursework and examinations that can be credited towards a later degree course.

A close exchange between school practice and research is the basic idea behind the network schools. Here, selected schools in the region and the RPTU cooperate as equal partners. They conduct joint research on important issues relating to schools, teaching and teacher training. Scientific findings for modern teacher training are thus combined with practical pedagogical solutions in an innovative way.
