Student representatives

are student representatives of the respective subject / department elected by students, similar to a student council. The student council is often abbreviated to "Fachschaft".

They are a good first point of contact for questions about your own subject or the organization of your studies. Student councils also mediate between students and lecturers and organize various events for students.
