Scientific Integrity and Quality Assurance

At RPTU, the  basis for the integrity of research is the code "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice" of the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the recommendations of the "Joint Committee on Handling Security-Relevant Research" of the DFG and the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina.

For questions around the integrity of research, the ombudsman committee "Good Scientific Practice"  provides support at the RPTU.

Quality assurance in research is carried out in close cooperation with the internal and external research advisory boards of RPTU. The two advisory boards advise the university management on strategic issues of research, especially on the design of the research initiative.

The Doctoral Ombudsman Board is available to RPTU doctoral candidates for questions and problems during their doctoral studies. In addition, RPTU implements the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers within the framework of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).

RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau is one of the signatories of the Initiative Transparente Tierversuche (transparent animal experiments initiative), which has been campaigning for a transparent and open discussion on research involving animals for more than three years.
