The "Intercultural Education" department and the Center for Empirical Educational Research (zepf) are offering six scientific internship positions as part of the project "Future-Oriented Teacher Education: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the School of the Migration Society."
Possible areas of focus (in close consultation with the project management):
- Empirical work within the framework of the project "Future-Oriented Teacher Education: Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the School of the Migration Society" (Conducting and Analyzing Group Discussions with Specific Groups of Teacher Education Students at RPTU)
- Document analysis: Analysis of educational policy documents (individual school types, subjects, federal states) at the intersection of ESD and education in a migration society
- Document analysis: Analysis of the courses and module handbooks of selected teacher training programs at RPTU
- Systematic literature review on selected topics at the intersection of ESD and education in a migration society (e.g., Indigenous Knowledge and (post)migrant knowledge as resources for the "great transformation")
- Quantitative survey among lecturers in teacher training programs at RPTU on ESD in a migration society
Requirements
- Enrollment at RPTU, Landau campus, in an education or social sciences program or in teacher training
- Completed BA degree
- Basic knowledge of social science research methods (depending on the research project, quantitative or qualitative)
- Reliability, accuracy, independent working style, and teamwork skills
- Desire for scientific activity

Areas of responsibility (in close coordination with the internship management):
- Preparation, conduct, and transcription of group discussions with teaching students from RPTU
- Collaboration on the creation of a guide for group discussions on the topic of education for sustainable development in a migration society
Other possible areas of responsibility based on interest:
- Support in analyzing the group discussions
Credits to be earned
- Flexible design of the workload: Credit points can be earned in independent study and/or in courses by Dr. Barbara Pusch (Biwi M6.2) or by Michael Zimmer-Müller (BiWi M 6.3) (30 hours = 1 credit point).
Requirements
- Enrollment at RPTU, Landau campus, in an education or social sciences program or in teacher training
- Interest (ideally some initial knowledge or willingness to acquire it) in:
- Qualitative research methods
- Qualitative evaluation methods, particularly the documentary method
- Topics such as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and/or Education in a Migration Society
- Reliability, accuracy, independent working style, and teamwork skills
- Desire for scientific activities

Der Arbeitsbereich „Interkulturelle Bildung“ und das Zentrum für Empirische Pädagogische Forschung (zepf) bieten im Rahmen des Projekts „Zukunftsorientierte Lehrkräftebildung: BNE in der Schule der Migrationsgesellschaft“ sechs wissenschaftliche Praktikumsplätze an.
Praktikumsbeginn: 22. April 2025
Praktikumsende: Flexibel, abhängig vom individuellen Workload
Aufgabenbereiche (in enger Absprache mit der Praktikumsleitung):
- Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Transkription von Gruppendiskussionen mit Lehramtsstudierenden der RPTU
- Mitarbeit an der Erstellung eines Leitfadens für Gruppendiskussionen zum Themenbereich Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung in der Migrationsgesellschaft
Weitere mögliche Aufgabenbereiche nach Interesse:
- Unterstützung bei der Analyse der Gruppendiskussionen
Zu erwerbende Leistungspunkte
- Flexible Gestaltung des Workloads: Leistungspunkte können im freien Studium und/oder in Lehrveranstaltungen von Dr. Barbara Pusch (Biwi M6.2) oder von Michael Zimmer-Müller (BiWi M 6.3) erworben werden (30 Stunden = 1 Leistungspunkt).
Voraussetzungen
- Immatrikulation an der RPTU, Standort Landau, in einem erziehungs- oder sozialwissenschaftlichen Studiengang oder im Lehramtsstudium
- Interesse (idealerweise erste Kenntnisse oder Bereitschaft sich diese anzueignen) an:
- Qualitativen Erhebungsmethoden
- Qualitativen Auswertungsmethoden, insbesondere der Dokumentarischen Methode
- Themen wie Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) und/oder Bildung in der Migrationsgesellschaft
- Zuverlässigkeit, Genauigkeit, selbstständige Arbeitsweise und Teamfähigkeit
- Lust auf wissenschaftliche Tätigkeiten

The "Intercultural Education" department offers a scientific internship position as part of the "TEA-Lecture Series: Transformative Education for All / Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in the Migration Society" in the summer semester of 2025.
Internship start date: April 22, 2025
Internship end: 07/26/2025
Areas of responsibility (in close coordination with the internship management):
- Support in the preparation, organization, and execution of the TEA lectures (e.g., assistance with invitations, help with Zoom sessions)
- Creation of posters and promotional material
- Public relations (including social media)
- Support in maintaining and updating the website “BNE in the Migration Society”
- Credits to be earned: Depending on the workload, around 3 credits (30 hours = 1 credit).
Requirements:
- Enrolled at RPTU, Landau campus, in an educational or social sciences program or in teacher training.
- Very good German skills (spoken and written), good English skills are an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe products
- Interest in science communication and in the conception, editing, and publication of science-related content
- Knowledge in handling analog and digital communication channels
- Reliability, accuracy, independent working style, and teamwork skills
