The role of our university within the UniGR
RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau is represented in all the governing bodies of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR) and is thus actively involved in designing this network - by its cooperation in many of the UniGR workgroups, among other things.
Each of the partner universities is responsible for the supervision and organisation of a certain priority task crucial for the "University of the Greater Region". In this context, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau is managing the sector of "Intellectual property and business start-up". Apart from the various priority areas, other topics within the University of the Greater Region are managed at the same time by each of the partner universities. The result is a clear structure and a division of tasks within the intercultural and interregional cooperation. Besides counselling and support for all the stakeholders of RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, the strong, ongoing collaboration with colleagues from the partner universities (university directorates, administrators, professors and students) is also maintained and further developed.
By implementing the UniGR student status, which helps improve mobility between the partner universities and reduce administrative barriers, as well as by the expansion of cross-border cooperation in research and education, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau has successfully implemented a major objective of the University of the Greater Region. Further evidence of the active participation of RPTU in creating this network of universities is given by the preparation of the handbook on "The Protection of Intellectual Property".
