WERA's 2nd Status Seminar 2026
The second WERA status seminar of the Research Training Group GRK 2908 WERA took place on 26 February 2026 and was attended by the entire plenum, consisting of the supervisors, PhDs and associated PhDs. The aim of the seminar was to present the results of the individual doctorates to date and to facilitate an interdisciplinary exchange on new research approaches and research content. Each doctoral candidate provided an oral presentation of their research results. These presentations gave the doctoral students the opportunity to explain their scientific work to a broad audience and thus create the basis for a lively discussion.
The PhDs' contributions came from the fields of process engineering, chemistry, bioprocess engineering, civil engineering and physics. They were perceived as comprehensible and interesting by both the PhD students and their supervisors. Initial progress in the individual research projects became visible.
At the WERA status seminars, the WERA plenum, which consists of the supervisors, PhDs and associated PhDs, meets to present the current results of the individual research projects. Each PhD and associated PhD gives an oral presentation. The main focus of the WERA status seminar is an exchange on interdisciplinary content, the development of further research approaches and research work on the joint wastewater pilot plant.
