UniGR Doctoral Certificate

The "European Doctorate of the University of the Greater Region" or in the short form "UniGR Doctoral Certificate" allows you to give your doctoral degree an international dimension without enrolling in the framework of a "Cotutelle de thèse". It is not a doctoratal degree in the literal sense, i.e. not an academic degree, but a certificate that attests the European dimension of your doctorate or PhD.
All doctoral students (with or without “cotutelles”) from the UniGR partner universities can apply for this certificate. You will receive it in addition to your doctoral degree if you meet certain conditions that pertain to research mobility within the Greater Region and intercultural experience.

Which conditions need I to fulfill for the UniGR doctoral certificate?

In order to receive the certificate, certain criteria must be met as part of your regular doctorate, which are aimed in particular at mobility within the Greater Region and the associated intercultural experiences. The title is awarded by issuing a certificate signed by both the President of the university conferring the doctoratal degree and the President of the UniGR.

The offers of the University of the Greater Region are aimed at students and doctoral candidates at both the Kaiserslautern and Landau campuses.
