Appointment procedures for professorships

What is it about?
The workshop prepares you for appointment procedures for professorships, tenure professorships and junior professorships. You will become familiar with the individual steps and learn how to prepare for them. If desired, participation in the workshop includes an additional 1.5 hours of individual coaching, which can be arranged as required.

Content:

• What are the individual steps of an appointment procedure?

• What do typical job advertisements look like and what expectations are associated with them?

• What should be included in the application documents? How can they be structured?

• The trial lecture: How to handle the fact that students, doctoral candidates, postdocs and professors may be in the audience?

• The committee interview: Typical questions and challenges

• The teaching rehearsal: Preparation and skillful implementation

• How to deal with difficult situations?
