It is our great pleasure to announce that the 9th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Cognitive Science of Culture will be held at RPTU University Kaiserslautern-Landau from April 08–10 in Kaiserslautern, Germany. On behalf of the Society’s Board and the organizing committee, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the conference by presenting a talk or a poster, or by attending as an interested attendee and discussant.

We welcome submissions spanning the full range of research on the relationship between cognition and culture across disciplines, including psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, education, anthropology, archaeology, and the arts.
Relevant topics include, among others, literacy, numerical cognition, aesthetics, language, music, and perceptual and cognitive differences across societies, with a particular focus on how culture shapes cognition and the brain. We would also be grateful if you could share this announcement with colleagues who may be interested.
 

Conference participants will also have the opportunity to continue discussions during the social events while exploring the regions surrounding Landau and Kaiserslautern. The social program will also include an excursion to a traditional wine village on the German Wine Route.
