Commercial Vehicle Industry
The commercial vehicle industry is one of the most important innovation drivers in Germany, in Europe and all over the world. Germany is Europe‘s leading commercial vehicle manufacturer. A concentration of manufacturing plants and suppliers is found especially in the southwest of the country. These enterprises as well as qualification agents and researchers established a communication and cooperation platform, the Commercial Vehicle Cluster.
Objectives of the study program
This international and interdisciplinary study program focuses on teaching students a sufficiently comprehensive knowledge in the fields of mechanical and process engineering, electrical and information engineering, and computer science. The main objective is to deal with interdisciplinary issues in the area of commercial vehicle technology, which can be difficult even for interdisciplinary teams, and to close the communication gaps in classical teams.

With a degree in our Master CVT program, a wide range of career options are open to you in both German and international industry. Besides this, you also have opportunities to further develop your knowledge in commercial vehicle technology and obtain a PhD at our university.
Application and admission requirements
For an application please fill in the online application and add the following documents (pdf file):
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Scaned copy of master degree, diploma (or equivalent) or bachelor degree (original language)
- Transcript of records (ToR)
- Scaned copies of certified translation (in German or English) of your degree certificate and transcript of records (only if your certificates are not in English or German)
- Description of subjects covered during your previous studies
- Proof of English Proficiency
- Proof of German Proficiency
- Letter of motivation (max. 2 pages)
- One letter of Recommendation from faculty staff

- For International students applying from abroad: April 30th
- For candidates already holding a visa and forcandidates from the EU: July 15th
- For holders of a German degree: September 15th
