In order to apply for a doctorate in the field of CVT you have to fulfill the following requirements:

• Masters Degree in “Commercial Vehicle Technology”, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or in equivalent program
• Applicants should have completed their Master within a reasonable time and show an above-average grade
• Experience within the CVT-field

• Certified copy (and English translation) of your Master’s degree
• Transcript of records
• Letter of motivation
  • Reason on decision for a doctorate at the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and in CVT
  • Details of your education and experience in the field of CVT
  • Precise information on your planned research field
  • Financing of your doctoral studies in CVT
• Curriculum Vitae
• Two letters of recommendation of faculty staff/ employer
• Language proficiency in English: TOEFL (213 computer-based, 550 paper-based, 80 internet-based)
• GRE (or equivalent) is strongly recommended
