Debate and networking

One of the core tasks of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate is to be a forum for public debate on peace-related topics and, at the same time, to enable a wide range of actors from the field of civil society engagement around "peace" and "development" to enter into discussion with academics and also to network better with each other. The Peace Academy fulfills this task primarily through its own public events in various formats and on various peace-related topics. Thematically, the Peace Academy's main areas of research are taken up, but at the same time we also go well beyond this when there is an appropriate topical occasion. Furthermore, the Peace Academy participates in corresponding events organized by other institutions, whether as co-organizer, contributor or purely supporting organization. In addition to recurring classic formats (such as lectures and panel discussions), innovative forms of transfer are also used and further developed. The Peace Academy strives (within the scope of its financial possibilities) to be involved in as many places as possible in Rhineland-Palatinate and participates in cross-border cooperation in the European Greater Region (Lorraine, Luxembourg, Wallonia and East Belgium, Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate).
