Blog series: Perspectives critical of racism
In the German-speaking academic debate, the relevance of racism as a social problem is increasingly being recognized and the various manifestations of racism are being researched and discussed in a differentiated manner. It can be assumed that racism structures social life and is consequently read as a structural problem. There is also an increasing discussion within peace and conflict research about the function and social reproduction/production of racism in connection with peace and peace processes.
A reflective approach to racism and an examination of racist violence and structural and everyday racism are important prerequisites for peace education work. On the blog of the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate, we would therefore like to open the space for theoretical contributions, research in peace education, but also for experiences and examples from practice
