Dr. Anne Hennings
Research Associate at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate
After completing her Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies in Marburg, Anne Hennings was a visiting researcher at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Cambodia, Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone and the Free University of Berlin. Her research topics include dynamics in post-war societies, conflict transformation, environmental and resource conflicts, land rights regimes and social movements in the Global South. Her regional focus is on sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Anne Hennings completed her doctorate in Münster on conflicts around and resistance to plantations and mining projects in post-war contexts and is co-founder and spokesperson of the AFK working group "Nature, Resources, Conflicts".

Annalena Groppe
Research Associate at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate
Annalena Groppe works as a research associate in the field of peace education at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate. She investigates transformative learning spaces in polarizing conflicts over democracy. Her research includes an action research approach to conflicts of interpretation at Hambach Castle. She has published several texts on this topic on the blog: It's about more than Sunday rest, moving peace education and conflicts surrounding the Neustadt democracy site. Annalena Groppe studied peace and conflict research at the University of Innsbruck and social and religious studies at the Ruhr University Bochum. During this time, she also gained editorial experience at Many Peaces Magazine.
