Dr. Anne Hennings – Research assistant at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate
After completing her Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies in Marburg, Anne Hennings was a visiting researcher at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Cambodia as well as Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone and the FU Berlin. Her research topics include dynamics in post-war societies, conflict transformation, environmental and resource conflicts, land rights regimes and social movements in the Global South. Her regional focus is on Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. Anne Hennings did her PhD in Münster on conflicts around and resistance to plantations and mining projects in post-war contexts and is co-founder and spokesperson of the AFK working group "Nature, Resources, Conflicts".
Annalena Groppe – Research assistant at the Peace Academy Rhineland-Palatinate.
Annalena Groppe completed her studies in peace and conflict studies at the University of Innsbruck in 2017. Afterwards, she worked as a promoter for One World at Friedenskreis Halle e.V. at the interface of peace education and global learning. In her PhD project, she is researching peace education potentials in polarising conflicts over democracy using case studies in Germany.
