TOTAL PROPOSALS

A development process has been initiated at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau to further develop it into a joint and contemporary unit. The project is being used as an opportunity to shape our university in a future-oriented and strategic manner so that it can develop maximum visibility and fully develop its performance and potential in research, studies and transfer. The further development of the university structure as a measure of university development is in the context of a new University Charter 2027, it is also planned within the framework of the requirements of the HochSchG and is conceived and implemented in particular on the basis of strategic considerations of a sustainable RPTU.

When planning the process, it is important to keep decisions for the Senate open-ended, as the Senate is decisive in all structural changes. At the same time, the experts in the departments, the subject representations, should become central players in the development of the university's own structure of the future. In addition to their participation and cooperation, binding target criteria and guidelines agreed by the university management and Senate will facilitate rapid decisions. The future structures should be tailored as optimally as possible to the needs of research, teaching, promotion of young academics and transfer on the basis of the provisions of the Higher Education Act.
