In the Harsh Use on the Construction Site: ERMA - Energy and Resource Efficiency
Energy and resource efficiency in the harsh use of machines on the construction site: four institutes are working together: KIMA (Chair of Design Engineering), MEGT (Institute of Machine Elements, Gears and Transmissions), MEC (Institute of Mechatronics in Mechanical Engineering and Vehicle Technology) and VPE Institute of Virtual Product Development. Funded by the Foundation for Innovation Rheinland-Pfalz and using a mobile excavator of the Volvo CE company as a test machine new concepts and methods for improvement of energy and resource efficiency are being developed.
