Blog series: Forgotten conflicts
On the occasion of the relaunch of the Peace Academy blog, we especially welcome contributions on the topic of "Forgotten Conflicts". The Covid-19 pandemic has dominated media and social debates for a year now. From a peace studies perspective, two trends in particular can be observed. On the one hand, conflicts and inequalities are becoming increasingly visible, the basic structures of which were already in place before the pandemic. Secondly, existing, often long-running political conflicts and humanitarian crises are being pushed into the background in daily reporting in favor of supposedly more pressing problems. The worldwide restrictions on movement and lockdowns are also contributing to less attention being paid to global or distant conflicts.
