Spin+X Concept Workshop

All Spin+X Principal investigators convened for their first overall workshop to discuss next steps in advancing Spin+X research. The workshop was organized around the six Spin+X Supply Chains which intertwine all Spin+X research projects into a coherent network. With the Supply Chains Network we:

(i) naturally integrate the engineering projects into the physics-centered environment of Spin+X;

(ii) ensure a faster, more efficient and better targeted transfer of know-how from basic science to applied projects and vice versa, supervised by a Supply Chain manager;

(iii) coherently and effectively develop the science of spin phenomena for selected topics across traditional boundaries of disciplines.

At the Concept Workshop each Supply Chain presented their goals and workplan, and dicussed how to

- coordinate the workflow,
- handle obstacles,
- organize regular exchange (meetings etc.),
- achieve (joint) publications.

The Workshop took place at beautiful Schloss Waldthausen, near Mainz.
